Sherry Ellis, Principal
Sherry Ellis Sherry Ellis, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, has performed with the Ashland Symphony and the Mansfield Symphony. She has appeared as a soloist in Germany and was a semi-finalist in the 2004 International Viola Competition in Paris, France. Sherry gives private lessons on violin, viola, and piano and is also a published children's author.

Eric Hawk
Eric Hawk Throughout his undergraduate and master’s degrees, Eric Hawk studied viola, taking lessons and performing in all major ensemble types. He received a Doctor of Musical Arts in Orchestral Conducting at the University of Georgia in Athens. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, Dr. Hawk has served as the Assistant Conductor of UGA’s premiere symphony orchestra and UGA’s second orchestra for non-majors, the University Philharmonia. In 2013, Dr. Hawk was hired as the interim Conductor and Artistic Director of the Agnes Scott College Community Orchestra in Decatur. He received his Master of Music in Orchestral Conducting at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. He also has had a lifelong passion for writing music. He completed a music composition minor as a pupil of Dr. Leonard Ball and earned a Bachelor of Music in Composition at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. In 2012, Dr. Hawk served as the primary composition instructor of the youth composer’s summer camp, Music Notes, in Athens. Dr. Hawk resides in Cumming with his wife, Dr. Dawn Dalangin Hawk, who holds a DMA in Piano Performance from UGA, and their three labradors Lilu, Wall-E, and Luna, and plays chamber music with his colleagues in his spare time.

Heather Lofdahl
Heather Lofdahl Freelance violist Heather Lofdahl recently came to the Atalnta area from Illinois where she taught music at the James B. Conant High School in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. She is now the orchestra director of the Dodgen Middle School Orcehstra in Marietta, Georgia. Heather teaches private violin and viola lessons and locally and online as a Graduate Teaching Assitant at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Janee Minnick
Janee Minnick Janee Minnick has been with Georgia Philharmonic for many years. An avid supporter of music, Janee has played viola for her entrie life. She lives with her retired husband and cats in Milton, Georgia.

Soleil Robichaud
Soleil Robichaud Violist Soleil Robichaud is an international marketing expert who sets the UPS rates you probably use. A graduate of UGA Terry College of Business, she played viola through her time at UGA in the University Philharmonia Orchestra. She is fluent in German and lives in Alpharetta, GA.

Greg Selig
Greg Selig Greg is a vice president of network engineering for a telecommunications company based in Atlanta having relocated from Wisconsin. He has a been a member since 2013. While in Wisconsin, Greg studied with Matt Michelic of Lawrence University while playing viola with: Manitowoc Symphony, Green Bay Symphony, Green Bay Civic Symphony, Oshkosh Symphony, Pamiro Opera, numerous shows and quartets in northeast WI, Chicago Civic Orchestra, and the University of Illinois - Champaign Symphony. Other musical past pursuits include being a guitarist in a WI area bar band named Severance Package.

Peace Stegall
Peace Stegall Peace grew up locally in the Atlanta area and attended North Springs High School where she played viola in the orcehstra and the Fulton County Honor Orchestras in 2007 and 2008. She continues to play the viola for fun. She is also a project coordinator at which provides recruiting services for the medical profession.

Heather Vincenty
Heather Vincenty Heather Vincenty brings almost 30 years of professional orchestral and chamber experience. An Alumni of Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music in Berea, Ohio, Heather has studied with Stella Anderson and Mark Braunstein, and has performed with the Ohio Chamber Orchestra, Luciano Pavarotti, Erie Philharmonic, Ashland Symphony, Akron Symphony, Telarc Records, and the Georgia Symphony. Heather is foudner of the Meriwell String Quartet, following a very successful 15 years in Cleveland, Ohio with the Bicycle String Quartet. Heather has also played electronic violin in two Cleveland rock bands throughout the years, although upon moving to the Atlanta area, traded the electric fiddle for the wonderful position of motherhood to two wonderful boys.

Kathy Wellman
Kathy Wellman Kathy Wellman has been a member of the Orchestra since 1985. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is employed as a real estate paralegal at Alston & Bird, LLP. She is also a member of the orchestra at the First Presbyterian Church in Midtown Atlanta.
